Public Remarks: The historic Spencer-Shreve House, listed on the National Register in association with the historic Church Street District, was built c.1825 (1825-1830) in the popular Federal style, with wide front veranda exhibiting its original four neoclassical columns and above-the-door transoms. The home was built during the later part of the Antebellum period and it was home to the Shreve Family through much of the post-Civil War era.
